On Saturday, 17 August 2019, SAMSON staff past and present from all over Germany was invited together with their families to the SAMSON summer party held on the company premises. Around 1,300 visitors were not put off by the unsettled weather conditions and came together to chat and get to know each other better. The summer celebrations included an extensive program on stage: Dr. Nikolaus Hensel, the chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Dr. Andreas Widl, CEO, gave speeches and a poster slam session was held to allow departments and project groups to showcase their work in an entertaining way. A further highlight was the live music performed throughout the day by The Takanaka Club Band and the SAMSONG company band. During the event, the M+E information truck provided information on career opportunities in the metal working and electrical engineering industries, while the OPPORTUNITEAM, a group of SAMSON trainees who design and manufacture their own products, presented their work on their own stand. All proceeds, as with all the earnings of the OPPORTUNITEAM, will go to an institution that offers technical vocational training in a less well-off region.
