KROHNE Academy | "From analog to the cloud"
From field instrument to sustainable plant optimization
SAMSON is - in cooperation with KROHNE, iTANKS, PHOENIX CONTACT and SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC - organizing the free roadshow "From analogue to the cloud" on 21 and 23 May 2019 in Dordrecht and Assen respectively.
Measurement and control aspects, Asset Management, Predictive Maintenance, Cyber Security, Communication protocols and Solutions in the cloud are just a few of the topics that are presented. Not only in the basics, but also in depth. Current topics are presented by experts and specialists from the market.
The Academy will start with a plenary presentation about "the power of the network". After years of struggling against the economic situation, there is room for innovation. It is also smart to look at possibilities and previous experiences with colleagues. In this presentation Mark Oosterveer, Program Manager at iTanks, tries to get an understanding of how the participants deal with innovation, sharing knowledge and using the power of their own network.
After the plenary session participants can choose from 16 lectures. These are divided into four rooms, each with its own theme: from basic knowledge and sustainability to asset management/predictive maintenance and technology of tomorrow.
In room 1 (Basic knowledge) SAMSON explains how to analyze the most important process factors for critical flow conditions and how to arrive at a certain choice.
In room 2 (Sustainability), SAMSON asks why cavitation and flashing occur and answers the question on how to prevent early failure due to damage.
In room 3 (Asset management/predictive maintenance) SAMSON explains what the measurement data of the sensors in control valves can be used for and what they can prevent.
In room 4 (Technology of tomorrow), SAMSON talks about the concepts of Connectivity, Asset Management, Predictive Maintenance and Machine Learning. Participants will get answers to the questions as to where it is all moving towards and what the latest developments are.
During the day the participants will have sufficient opportunities to ask any questions they may have. For example, there is a table top, where the participating companies will be happy to talk to you.
At the end of the day there will be a Discussion Panel. This is hosted by Automatie: the industrial automation magazine for Process, Production and Machine Automation, Computerization and Instrumentation in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The seminars take place in Dordrecht and Assen and are identical.
Participation is free of charge.
