Getting off to a Good Start

|   About SAMSON

On 2 September, the vocational training year also started for the 44 new trainees that SAMSON took on in 2019. During the welcome week, the newcomers had the opportunity to get to know each other better and to learn more about SAMSON. The agenda for the first two days was packed: a guided tour of the Frankfurt site, welcome speeches by Dr. Widl (CEO and Chairman of the Board), Dr. Steckenreiter (Vice Chairman of the Board) and Mr. Hintz (Head of Vocational Training), a social skills workshop and information on English language training and OPPORTUNITEAM, the virtual SAMSON trainee company. On Wednesday, the trainees set off on a joint trip to Munich. Whilst in Bavaria, the group visited the Spaten brewery, a geothermal plant as well as the SAMSON engineering and sales office in Planegg near Munich. Of course, there was also ample time to spend some free time together.

The welcome week was very good and interesting.

I liked the introductory week as I get along well with my new colleagues now.

I had a fantastic week with an interesting program and many great new people.

All in all, the trip to Munich was very interesting with the guided tours of the geothermal plant and the brewery. We were also given enough free time and had the opportunity to make new contacts.
